Il rumor sul Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 IS STM MACRO si è rivelato esatto. Ecco infatti le prime immagini della prossima ottica per il sistema mirrorless di Canon.

La focale è davvero di 28mm (circa 45mm equivalenti),molto strana per un’ottica macro,ma le particolarità non finiscono qui. Guardando le foto si nota subito che intorno alla parte frontale è presente un cerchio luminoso. Il cerchio è probabilmente un piccolo flash,spesso necessario nella fotografia macro. Ma è la prima volta che viene direttamente integrato in un’ottica.

Dalle foto possiamo notare altre caratteristiche. La minima distanza di messa a fuoco per esempio viene riportata sul fianco dell’ottica e segna 0.093m. Non molto alta se confrontata con le normali ottiche macro,ma sicuramente più che buona considerando che si parla di un 28mm.

Infine si nota la scritta “super macro” sopra la ghiera di messa a fuoco. Se normalmente il termine macro viene utilizzato per indicare un rapporto di ingrandimento di 1x,verrebbe da pensare che una modalità super macro possa superare questo normale ingrandimento. Ma viene difficile pensare che un’ottica da 28mm per mirrorless possa ottenere un rapporto maggiore di quelle più professionali. Molto probabilmente quindi per “super macro” sarà inteso il normale rapporto di 1:1 che però,su un’ottica consumer,è probabilmente segnalato come un qualcosa di molto elevato

La lente è quella del rumor. La modalità super-macro,contrariamente a quello che si pensava,serve a raggiungere l’impressionante rapporto di 1.2X (che su un’ottica di questa fascia è un caso unico).

Photographers looking for a compact, lightweight macro lens should look no further than the Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens, the first Canon Macro Lens specifically designed for the EOS M Camera System.

The new lens features a pair of built-in miniature Macro Lite electronic flash units that illuminate close-up subjects as needed, helping to freeze movement, enhance color accuracy and provide a better sense of depth and dimension. Two curved flash units surround the front element of the lens, with the ability to illuminate both simultaneously, or one at a time. Users are also able to adjust the brightness of the Macro Lites between “bright” and “dim” settings.

The standard focusing range of the Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens extends from infinity to life-size (1 time). Additionally, a Super Macro Mode allows shooting at even higher magnifications up to 1.2 times. This feature allows you to capture smaller details that really make your subjects stand out against the background.

Additional features of the Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens include:
